The Practice podcast by Yoga Journal

One of my New Year's resolutions was to work on my meditation practice. I've found that guided meditation really resonates because it provides something for my wandering mind to focus on.

While reading Yoga Journal I came across an ad for The Practice podcast. When I opened it I was amazed at the breadth of meditation topics and the range of teachers that have contributed. There are meditations on subjects such as self-compassion, joy, dealing with grief and many more, ranging from 5 min to 30 min, so you can always find one that can fit in your day and support your journey with whatever you may need.

One of my favorites is a "16 Minute Breathing Practice to Cultivate Awareness of the Subtle Body" by Sally Kempton. In this podcast she teaches a breathing technique that focuses on sending the breath down the body on the inhale and back up on the exhale. This is opposite from many of the other breathing techniques in my practice and it was fun to learn something new.
